garlic mustard

The Centerville-Washington Park District (CWPD) invites families, volunteers and nature enthusiasts to participate in a garlic mustard pull and picnic at Bill Yeck Park (2230 E. Centerville Station Road, Centerville, OH).

The day will kick off with an engaging lesson on identifying garlic mustard, an invasive species threatening local plant life, and the importance of its removal. Volunteers will then head out to designated areas to remove the plant, an easy task that’s great for all ages!

After the hard work, participants will reconvene at Smith House for a garlic mustard recipe tasting and a self-provided picnic lunch. There will be games for all ages, and to top it all off, CWPD will provide ice cream for dessert!

This is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy nature, learn about conservation and make a real impact on the local environment.

Saturday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
