Volunteers Needed for Invasive Honeysuckle Removal at Grant Park
CENTERVILLE, OH: Help protect local habitats while enjoying a fall afternoon outdoors! Join the Centerville-Washington Park District on Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Normandy entrance of Grant Park for Honeysuckle Homestead, a family-friendly invasive plant removal event.
Volunteers will help locate and remove invasive honeysuckle by trimming branches, cutting plants and gathering debris into piles for disposal. After the hard work is done, we’ll build a fire and enjoy s’mores together!
Honeysuckle Homestead is open to all ages and volunteer groups of all sizes. Whether you’re looking for a team-building opportunity for your business or organization, need volunteer hours for school, or simply want a fun way to get your family outdoors, there’s a place for you!
Grant Park’s Normandy entrance is located at 501 Normandy Ridge Rd. The park features popular hiking trails, fire circles, nature cabins, creek access, and walking paths.
Register online at cwpd.org.
