Subject: Past and Present History Hike
CENTERVILLE, OH: The Centerville-Washington Park District naturalist and Centerville-Washington History educators are teaming up for a stroll through Big Bend Park on Saturday, December 3 at 1 p.m. Learn about the railroads that ran through Centerville and the influence they had on the growth and culture of the area. During this slow-paced tour of the nature park, you will see how nature has reclaimed a section of abandoned railroad. The hike takes place on a natural trail. Big Bend Park is located at 1328 Spring Ash Drive.
The hike is geared for ages 14 and over and is free for Centerville and Washington Township residents. There is a $4 fee for nonresidents. Preregistration is required for the Past and Present History Hike at www.cwpd.org.
