CENTERVILLE, OH: Centerville-Washington Park District’s Hike with a Naturalist series continues into the late summer and fall months. Embark on a Butterfly Walk through Bill Yeck Park’s McGuffey Meadow entrance on Thursday, August 12 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
As you search for common butterfly species, the park district naturalist will teach you about their link to native host plants, need for nectar, and how your own flowerbeds can attract them. Butterfly binoculars will be available for close-up butterfly viewing.
This program is open to ages 14 and up. It is free for residents of Centerville and Washington Township. There is a $2 fee for nonresidents. Register online by Tuesday, August 10, or call (937) 433-5155 to register.
