Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the fall. A limited number of rental poles are available.
There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime! Note: Tuesday Trail Trekking locations will be the same as the A Walk in the Park program.

Hike For Your Health
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, September 2 – November 18
Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Trail Running Group 2026
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, March 11 – October 28
Join Up and Running trail leaders as you enjoy running on natural trails. This running group is for experienced runners and includes meadows, trails and hills. Meet at the Normandy Entrance (501 Normandy Ridge Rd.) of Grant Park or the Smith Entrance (2230 E. Centerville Station Rd.) of Bill Yeck Park. Please check online schedule for locations each week. Sign up once for the entire year!

Fitness for Longevity A Wednesday
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, September 2 – October 7
This class is designed to maintain strength, mobility and power at an advanced level, regardless of your age. Exercises are also designed to improve breath work and fascia alongside joint and heart health. Due to the incorporation of a full range of exercises from calisthenics to long holds and deep stretches, prior exercise experience is highly recommended. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Tai Chi
Ages 18 and up
Thursdays, September 3 – October 8
A welcoming, low-impact way to build strength, balance, and inner calm while learning a yang-style Tai Chi series. Designed for adults of all ages and fitness level. This program is ideal for anyone looking for a calm, restorative form of exercise — no prior experience required. Movements can be adapted for different abilities.

Stitch a Sparrow: Summer Sparrows
Ages 14 and up
Learn more about Ohio’s summer sparrow residents in this cross stitch program! Participants will choose from five sparrow species commonly found in Ohio. Stitch a pattern while learning fun facts about them! All supplies will be provided.

YoGlow
Ages 14 and up (under 18 must have an adult companion)
This yoga class is for all levels and will include a warm-up, breathwork, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.
Registration is not required, but registered participants will receive reminder and/or cancellation emails.
Crafts with Nature: Nocturnal Neighbors—Moths!
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
Let’s get together and do a nature craft! We will complete crafts with nature/sensory themes, read stories, play games and take short hikes in the park. The theme for September is ‘Moths!’. We will learn about these beautiful nocturnal critters, make moth-inspired crafts, and even meet some real moths/caterpillars.

Art & Imagination
Ages 6 – 8
This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! They will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.

Ohio Young Birders Club Chapter Meeting
Ages 12 – 18
Join the OYBC Southwest Chapter! Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of bird watching to our youth through the Ohio Young Birders Club. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club.

Stemily Studios: Chicken Rescue!
Ages 8 – 14
The chickens need your help! In this Minecraft-inspired class, kids will team up to solve puzzles, crack clues, and complete hands-on challenges in an escape room-style adventure. NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT EVENT ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Amazing Athletes at the Park
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, September 9 – October 14
Join Amazing Athletes to practice coordination, fine motor and gross motor skills! This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. Express Yourself: Confident Conversations
Ages 11 – 16
Wednesdays, September 9 – 30
Join Rachel Abshear and Rebecca Stevens for this new program designed for preteens and early teens. This engaging class helps participants build confidence, strengthen communication skills and grow while having fun in a supportive environment. Through interactive activities and discussions, teens will learn how to express their opinions clearly and respectfully, navigate challenging emotions, and develop positive ways to connect with others. Each class will include snacks and drinks!
