Neighborhood Yoga C: Breathwork/Meditation
Ages 18 and up
Exploring various yoga styles is as easy as walking down to your neighborhood park. Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Aging Well & Maintaining Independence

This interactive presentation focuses on practical strategies to help older adults stay strong, mobile and independent as they age. We’ll break down simple, safe exercises and lifestyle habits that support heart health, muscle power, joint function, proper fueling and fall prevention. Presented by David Herman, DC, CCSP, CCEP and Hannah Rastatter, MS, RD, LD of Ohio Sport and Spine. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.

Grow Together Native Garden Club

Grow Together Native Garden Club will focus on the entire household working as a team to manage your own native wildflower gardens at home. Along the journey, we will focus on three ways a garden space can be used: Pollinator support, food Production, and Play! This is a Tools to Trek program.

Young Birders Club Meeting

Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of bird watching to our youth.
Bird watching and identification is a fun and rewarding hobby and also a great place to make friends. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club and be between the ages of 12 and 18.

Bike About Centerville Advanced Ride
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Dayton by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! This ride will take our Bike Centerville Community Rides up a level. It will be approximately 30 miles and visit 7 community parks.

The County Fair

Come on out to the CWPD County Fair! Bring your favorite stuffed animal and enter them in the show! Judges will evaluate their talents and tricks. After the ribbons are awarded, play fun fair games and enjoy popcorn on the porch. This program is part of the America-250 Ohio celebration.

Peaceful Paths with Now and Zen DIY
Ages 16 and up
Find your calm and creativity as you design a peaceful miniature landscape complete with a charming bridge that symbolizes balance, mindfulness and life’s journey. Choose from serene succulents, moss, stones and natural accents to craft your own tranquil scene … a daily reminder to slow down, breathe and stay centered. This session by Now and Zen DIY Studio will conclude with a sunset walk along the wildflower meadow.

Birdwatching Walk: Fascinating Feathers

Join avid birdwatcher John Kennard as you investigate how feathers keep a bird insulated, facilitate flight and contribute to displays. After our feather investigation, we will hit the trail to observe summer birds. This is a Tools to Trek program.

National Dog Day!
All ages (must be 8 and up to go inside the dog park)
This year’s National Dog Day celebration is Pupchella! Make crafts, play water games, socialize with other dogs (and owners) and enjoy a dog-friendly treat spread. Please review the dog park rules before attending. All dogs must be on a leash when entering and leaving the dog park. Children must be 8+ years old to enter the off-leash area.
Project WET: Water in Earth Systems
Ages 18 and up
Five Rivers MetroParks and the Centerville-Washington Park District are teaming up to train educators on the latest publication in the award-winning Project WET lineup. You will receive your own copy of the guide (valued at $23) and access to Project WET’s portal of online resources. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Contact hour certificates will be given to all participants. Join us as we explore new curriculum guides to bring nature to your classroom and your classroom outside!
