Butterfly Survey
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Grow Together Native Garden Club
All ages
Grow Together Native Garden Club will focus on the entire household working as a team to manage your own native wildflower gardens at home. Each meeting, families will share their garden adventures, learn about garden ecology, give our small garden space a little TLC and spend some time creating or playing! This is a Tools to Trek program.

Spooks and Spells Archery
Ages 8 – 15
Create your own potions and spells while learning the basics of archery at this spooky-themed archery afternoon. After learning archery basics, put them to the test with thrilling games and activities! All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary.

Intermediate Adult Archery Clinic
Ages 16 and up
Need to freshen-up your follow through, strengthen your shot, or just try new targets? This intermediate archery clinic is designed to strengthen your existing archery abilities. Participants should have a basic understanding of archery. No equipment is necessary.

Bike About Centerville Community Ride B
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! The ride will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles.

Family Fun Fishing Night
All ages (recommended for 5 and up)
Bring your own rod or borrow one of ours! Basic bait, tackle and guidance will be provided. You may also bring a picnic blanket dinner to enjoy a water-side feast as a family! Corn hole, connect 4 and other games will be available for those that need a break from fishing. Registration (one per family) is required. Fishing is catch and release only. No fishing license is required.

Crafts with Nature: Nocturnal Neighbors—Bats!
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
We will complete crafts with nature/sensory themes, read stories, play games and take short hikes in the park — all to spark a love of nature in our youngest community members! The theme for October is ‘Bats!’. We will learn about the whimsical world of bats, make a take-home bat craft, and have some pretend play.

This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! They will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.

Ages 8 – 15
Join Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling to celebrate the flavors of fall with sweet and savory seasonal foods. Make spaghetti squash pasta with a savory sauce and an apple crumb dessert. Don’t forget the spiced apple cider! Please note: all major food allergens could be present in this class.

Ohio Young Birders Club Chapter Meeting
Ages 12 – 18
Join the OYBC Southwest Chapter! Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of bird watching to our youth through the Ohio Young Birders Club. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club.

Dance Fitness with Emily
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, October 13 – November 17
This class is a total body workout designed to bring people (like you!) together through music and dance. We dance to various styles of music (Latin, hip hop, pop, global rhythms, etc.) which provides a good mix of low to high-intensity moves. Instructor Emily Chandler strives to make this class high-energy and a lot of fun! Please bring a bottle of water.

Spooky Slime Making
Ages 8 – 12
Join us for the fan-favorite fall version of slime with Halloween-themed additions! This program is a great way to get creative while making new friends and trying new slime recipes for fun and stress relief! Due to the variety of types of slime, please be sure to note any allergies.

Fitness for Longevity C
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, October 14 – November 18
This class is designed to maintain strength, mobility and power at an advanced level, regardless of your age. This is accomplished through a focus on grip strength, speed, balance, and building muscle. Due to the incorporation of a full range of exercises from calisthenics to long holds and deep stretches, prior exercise experience is highly recommended. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.
