This class is designed to maintain strength, mobility and power at an advanced level, regardless of your age. Due to the incorporation of a full range of exercises from calisthenics to long holds and deep stretches, prior exercise experience is highly recommended. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Stitched Felt Magnets: Fresh From the Basket
Ages 14 and up
Join us for an evening of creating refrigerator magnets! We will use the blanket stitch technique to create a mini fruit collection out of felt! These make the cutest decorations, perfect for summer! Participants will make small 5 magnets.

Tai Chi – Session B

A welcoming, low-impact way to build strength, balance, and inner calm while learning a yang-style Tai Chi series. Each session focuses on slow, intentional movement, mindful breathing and improved body awareness. This program is ideal for anyone looking for a calm, restorative form of exercise — no prior experience required. Movements can be adapted for different abilities.

Hike with a Naturalist: Butterflies
Ages 18 and up
Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path. The theme of this walk is butterflies!

Neighborhood Yoga B: Vinyasa Flow
Ages 18 and up
Exploring various yoga styles is as easy as walking down to your neighborhood park. Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages (recommended for children 5 and under)

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Outdoor Art Studio
Ages 11 – 15
Explore the beauty of nature through paint during this fun, outdoor art experience with Kristin of Purple Paintbrush. Learn simple acrylic painting techniques to break a scene into shapes, layers and colors, with an emphasis on creative interpretation rather than perfect realism. Working from a real outdoor view in the park, teens will build confidence in composition, color mixing and brushwork while creating a finished landscape painting on an 11×14 canvas to take home. No prior experience is required — just curiosity, imagination and a love of art. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

Young Birders Club Meeting
Ages 12 – 18
Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of bird watching to our youth.
Bird watching and identification is a fun and rewarding hobby and also a great place to make friends. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club and be between the ages of 12 and 18.

Picnic & Play
Ages 3 – 7 with adult companion
Work together to make simple, kid-friendly picnic snacks with Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling. Then, enjoy free play at the Mark Kreusch Nature Playce. This relaxed program encourages creativity while learning about food, family time, and outdoor exploration in a fun, welcoming setting. Please note: All major food allergens could be present in this class.

Creek Peek: Crawdad Deep Dive
All ages
There are many crawdad species native to the Ohio River Basin Area, several of which we can find here in our parks! Come prepared to splash around in a creek as we learn about the importance of crawdads in our streams and ecosystems. Closed-toe shoes are required. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Summer Garden Watercolor Class
Ages 18 and up
There are so many amazing colors and textures in our gardens! Spend this class painting fruit and vegetable themes. We will utilize basic brush and watercolor techniques. This class is best for beginner to intermediate level participants. All supplies will be provided, and you will leave the class with your completed artwork! Class is taught by visual artist and designer Renee Hopson.

Bike About Centerville Community Ride B
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! The ride will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles.

Intermediate Adult Archery Clinic

Need to fine-tune your aim, can’t remember the eleven steps to archery success, or just want to round out your archery skills? This intermediate archery clinic is designed to strengthen your existing archery abilities. Some experience is needed; no equipment is necessary.

Picnic Palette
Ages 16 and up
Participants will paint from a delightful outdoor still life featuring a basket filled with picnic favorites. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels, emphasizing creative interpretation over perfection, so each painting reflects your personal style. All materials are provided, and participants will paint with acrylics on an 11×14 canvas. Light picnic-themed refreshments will be provided to enjoy as you get creative! Led by Kristin of Purple Paintbrush LLC.
