Recreation Day Camp is weather-dependent; you will receive a refund for any canceled days at the end of the week.

Mud, marvelous mud! This week, we will explore camp to its messiest. We will go creeking, make slime, play water games, finger paint and more! There is so much messy fun to be had, and we hope you will join us!

Week 8 full-day campers will meet at Oak Grove Park one of their camp days to fish, participate in archery, and for their grand competition!

Ages 12 – 15

We will conduct wildlife surveys, climb trees with EarthJoy, hike, go creeking, and take on silly team challenges. Each week will have a different nature theme to study. We will spend one day each week at Oak Grove Park where we will focus on archery, special activities and challenges related to our weekly theme.

Ages 6 – 12

Ages 4 – 6

Our youngest magicians are center stage! We will have fun with some optical illusions and crafts with epic transformations! Don’t forget your detective hat as we figure out the science behind some favorite tricks and put it to the test in our art. We will also include a variety of fun, colorful crafts and magic-themed games to fill our week. Please dress in old clothing, and we will provide aprons for especially messy crafts.

Tuesdays, July 22 – August 19
(No class August 5)

Join Certified Pickleball Trainer James Lawson to develop the introductory skills to level up your pickleball game. This 4-week lesson is designed for the beginner player looking to develop basic skills to move up to a more competitive level of play. This program will move indoors for adapted lessons in inclement weather.

Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion

We will complete crafts with nature/sensory themes, read stories, play games and take short hikes in the park. This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant. If your child is not walking, backpacks and front carriers are appropriate. Strollers are not recommended for parks with natural terrain.

Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, July 23 – August 27

You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Want to learn more about what hides out under rocks in and near waterways? Come find out who considers these rocks home and why these creatures live the way they do. Later, paint a rock resembling your discoveries! Dress to be in the creek. Close-toed shoes are required. This is a Tools to Trek Program.

The 9th annual BIG Backyard Party is here! Join us for an afternoon full of hands-on activities all ages and abilities can enjoy. Activities will include inflatables, fishing, archery, field games, and so much more! Two hundred free fishing poles are available for children ages 14 and under thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This program is made possible by several ongoing community partnerships.
