Goat Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Join us for a one-of-a-kind morning filled with lots of fun and a bit of yoga! Goat Country, LLC. will bring their adorable goats for a special program. Practice some classic poses while interacting with the goats. Time for pictures and cuddles with the mini goats will be included at the end.

Sunday Sundaes: End of Summer Celebration
All ages
Celebrate the end of summer with a free sundae at the Smith House! Enjoy a relaxing summer afternoon with yard games and a guided hike to admire the wildflowers. Bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chair. This event is weather-dependent, please check cwpd.org for weather updates.
Registration is not required, but registered participants will receive reminder and/or cancellation emails.
Bike Centerville Community Ride D
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Empowering Outdoors: Coffee & Conversation
Ages 18+
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Hike
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m Coffee and Conversation
Join the Centerville-Washington Park District and the local non-profit Hope Wanders to enjoy coffee and conversation with guest speakers and/or an educational experience followed by a walk or hike. Join us for 2 mile loop hike around the park during the evening hours then learn skills to build a fire and relax around the fire with refreshments. Participants should wear close toed shoes.
Family Fun: Wildflower Evening
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Enjoy family time together on a sunset walk through our wildflower meadow. Each family will get a wildflower identification guide and choose two types of seeds to take home, including instructions on how to plant them! Register one person per family.

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks during this self-guided meet-up program! You must bring your own Nordic poles if you sign up for this option.
There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime! Tuesday Trail Trekking locations will be the same as the A Walk in the Park program.

Tuesdays and Fridays, September 3 – November 26
Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the fall. A limited number of rental poles are available.
There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime! Note: Tuesday Trail Trekking locations will be the same as the A Walk in the Park program.

These are self-guided walks around your community parks! Enjoy reduced stress, improved quality of sleep and the many benefits from an improved quality of life. It will be A Walk in the Park!

Young Birders Club Southwest Chapter

Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of birdwatching to our youth. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club. Winter programs will be held by Kettering PRCA.

Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike is on a natural path. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Amazing Athletes at the Park A

This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Fitness Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, September 4 – October 9
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Fitness Fusion
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, September 4 – October 9
Fitness Fusion incorporates cardio, circuit training, resistance training, pilates and compound exercises. Modifications provided. Taught by Emily Chandler, a certified group fitness instructor. You will need a light set of weights and a towel or yoga mat.
