Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to focus on refining a particular skill for each session.

Dance Fitness with Emily
Ages 18 and up

This class is a total body workout designed to bring people (like you!) together through music and dance. Instructor Emily Chandler strives to make this class high-energy and a lot of fun! We can guarantee you’ll leave this class feeling great! Please bring a bottle of water.

Garden Gnome Pottery Painting
Ages 16 and up
Join Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush to paint your own garden gnome to decorate your garden! If weather allows, we will paint under the shelter and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views.

Crafts with Nature
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
We will complete crafts with sensory themes and take short hikes in the park! This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking. Strollers are not recommended at parks with natural terrain. The Crafts with Nature April programs are identical, please only select one.

Young Gardeners: Grow A Sunflower
Ages 3 – 6
We will learn about the life cycle of a sunflower and how they grow before planting our own seeds. This program will be outside, weather permitting. Please register individually if your group would like more than one flowerpot. This is not a drop-off program.

Amazing Athletes at the Park B
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, April 17 – May 22
Come join Amazing Athletes as we practice our coordination, fine motor skills and gross motor skills! This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. Sign up for both sessions and receive an Amazing Athletes t-shirt! This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Fitness Yoga B

You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Preschool Nature Series: Finding Frogs
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
Frogs are becoming active in our ponds and wetlands. We will learn about the amazing lifecycle of our local frogs and toads. Then, we will hike to the wetland and see how many we can spot!

Glass Fusing: Whimsical Garden Décor
Ages 16 and up
Prepare your spring garden with glass décor in this brand new glass fusing class. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will lead participants through the basics of glass fusing. Create two small pieces to stake in your garden.

Butterfly Survey April
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Owlexander’s Tyke Hike
Recommended for ages 5 and under
Follow Owlexander through the park as he helps build early literacy skills and improve physical motor skills for busy early learners. Participants will make an owl puppet to take with them on the short hike. This program is offered in partnership with the Washington-Centerville Public Library.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Watercolor & Ink: Tulips and Daffodils
Ages 18 and up
Familiar with watercolor, but want to take your skills to the next level? Join us in this class and learn techniques like how to add interest to backgrounds, work with a limited palette to improve mixing skills, and work with limited brushes to improve dexterity. Studio materials are provided to use while in the class. This program is beginner/intermediate level.
