Paint & Cocoa Night
Ages 8 – 12
Join Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush, LLC for a cozy winter evening filled with creativity and cheer! Participants will enjoy sipping cocoa, munching on cookies, and painting either a pottery frosty night light or a Christmas tree night light (both include the lights!) No experience needed—just bring your imagination and get ready for a relaxing night of art and warmth!

Ukrainian Egg Decorating Workshop
Ages 16 and up
Ukrainian Egg Decoration uses waxes and other mediums to decorate real chicken eggs with nature and folk designs. This style of painting has been done for hundreds of years in Eastern and Central Europe. Learn this ancient process from local teaching artist of more than 20 years, Ginny Baughman. Join us for this unique class and take home your own beautifully decorated egg!

Get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, a blend of mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity — this class is designed to help you maintain the strength, mobility and power at age 100 that you have now. All levels are welcome. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Crafts with Nature – Frozen Things!
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
The theme for December is ‘Frozen Things!’ We’ll read snowy stories, explore ice with sensory play, and head outside for snow fun — or enjoy indoor “snow” activities if needed. This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking. Strollers are not recommended at parks with natural terrain.

Art & Imagination
Ages 6 – 9
This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! They will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.

Conservation Crew: Seed Sowing and Cleaning
Ages 12 – 18
Conservation Crew members will start off planting Royal Catchfly and other seeds in the Seed Nursery, strengthening our wildflower beds. As darkness falls, we will move inside and begin to clean and package harvested seeds.

Fitness Fusion

Fitness Fusion incorporates cardio, circuit training, resistance training, pilates and compound exercises. Each class will vary in the types of exercises and will help you build speed, power, strength and endurance. Modifications provided. Taught by Emily Chandler, a certified group fitness instructor. You will need a light set of weights and a towel or yoga mat.

Try new art skills during this fun, nature-themed crafting program. Each session will offer different options for participants to choose from, allowing them to work independently or get creative together!

Hike with a Naturalist
Ages 18 and up
Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Glass Fusing: Winter Ornaments
Ages 16 and up
Exercise your creative side while making beautiful fused glass ornaments perfect for gifting or adding to your own holiday décor. Instructor Kathy Woodruff will lead the class in creating three ornaments. Choose from a variety of styles and designs to make each piece uniquely yours.

Luminary Walk
All ages
Enjoy a candlelit stroll through Bill Yeck Park. There will be a half-mile paved route and a one-mile route along the purple trail. Warm up by the Smith House fire circle and enjoy the sounds of the season with carols from Centerville High School’s symphonic choir! Free hot chocolate at the Forest Field shelter while supplies last! Please bring a school supply item to support Crayons to Classroom‘s mission to secure and distribute school supplies at no cost to teachers of students in need.
