Creeks, Ponds and Puddles
Ages 6 – 12
Monday – Friday, June 1 – 5
Start summer off with a splash! Learn all about creeks, play water-filled games, and go on adventures to, and sometimes even through, the water habitats of Bill Yeck Park! Along the way, we will learn about the wildlife that call aquatic habitats their homes.

Fitness for Longevity A
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, June 1 – July 13
(No class July 6)
This class is designed to maintain strength, mobility and power at an advanced level, regardless of your age. Exercises are designed to improve breath work and fascia alongside joint and heart health.
Due to the incorporation of a full range of exercises from calisthenics to long holds and deep stretches, prior exercise experience is highly recommended. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

A Walk in the Park

These are self-guided walks around your community parks! Walking helps maintain a healthy weight, increases energy, lifts your spirits, strengthens memory and protects from heart disease and high blood pressure.

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks during this self-guided meet-up program! You must bring your own Nordic poles if you sign up for this option.

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the fall. A limited number of rental poles are available.

Gentle Yoga A
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, June 2 – July 21
(No class June 16, 23 or July 14)
Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Early Adventures: Grant’s Trail
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
These exploratory hikes foster curiosity and confidence in young children. Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hikes can be on a natural or paved path, depending on the location. This is a Tools to Trek program. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Hike For Your Health
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, June 3 – August 26
Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Fitness Fusion
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, June 3 – July 8
Fitness Fusion incorporates cardio, circuit training, resistance training, pilates and compound exercises. Each class will vary in the types of exercises and will help you build speed, power, strength and endurance. Modifications provided. Taught by Emily Chandler, a certified group fitness instructor. You will need a light set of weights and a towel or yoga mat.

Tai Chi – Session A

A welcoming, low-impact way to build strength, balance, and inner calm while learning a yang-style Tai Chi series. Each session focuses on slow, intentional movement, mindful breathing and improved body awareness. This program is ideal for anyone looking for a calm, restorative form of exercise — no prior experience required. Movements can be adapted for different abilities.

Conservation Crew: Nature Collection Hike
Ages 12 – 17
During this session, we will collect items used for nature play at CWPD programs. We will search for sticks, acorns, leaves and flowers! Please come prepared for the weather. All Conservation Crew sessions count as service hours.

Pizza Party
Ages 8 – 15
Friday night calls for a pizza party! Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling will guide participants through making their own personal pizza and a crunchy side salad. Please note: All major food allergens could be present in this class.

YoGlow
Ages 18 and up
(Ages 14 and up may attend with an adult guardian)
Method Yoga Studio owner and instructor Megan Lees will lead this outdoor yoga class in the peaceful park setting. We will provide glow bracelets for all participants to wear! This yoga class is for all levels. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.
Registration is not required, but registered participants will receive reminder and/or cancellation emails.
