Camp Olympians!

The torch is lit! Join us for some friendly competition as we launch our camp Olympics. We will have a variety of activities including traditional Olympic sports, like archery and table tennis, and some camp-competition games that will have you going for gold! We will use our inflatable S.A.F.E. Archery equipment for this week of camp.

Animal Robot-Palooza with Stemily
Ages 8 – 12

The robots are coming! Each day we’ll learn about a new animal and then build a robot inspired by it. Come hang out with Stemily Studios as we dive into the world of robots and build a total of five awesome bots — a fresh one every day!

Conservation Crew: Collecting Natural Items
Ages 12 – 18
We will be collecting natural items for our Fairy and Gnome Home Festival. Tasks include drying wildflowers, making leaf confetti, and collecting seeds and bark.

The leader of this hike will point out key characteristics and fun facts about the trees of Grant Park.

Summer Archery: Family Battles
Ages 8 and up
Looking for some family-friendly competition? We will learn the basics of archery and will use the skills you learn in a friendly competition against your own family! Please register just one family member. Maximum four people per family. All equipment is provided.

Camp Battles! Adventure Games in the Great Outdoors!
Ages 9 – 13

One of our most popular themes is back for round 2! We will split into teams to play games outdoors! Activities will include laser tag, archery tag, water tag, capture the flag and a Nerf battle! We will learn about creatures in nature that also work in teams. We will mix up teams throughout the day.

Hidden Meadows Camp Week 10 All Day
Camp Conservation
Ages 5 – 12
Monday – Friday, August 5 – 9
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
This week will be focused on being responsible stewards. Campers will learn how to be conservation superstars at home and in the parks, complete projects and crafts to help take care of the earth, and wrap up the summer in style.

Gentle Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, August 6 – September 10
Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! These exploratory hikes foster curiosity and confidence in young children. Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike is on a paved path. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Creek Antiques
All ages
Holes Creek has a great deal of history associated with it! We will hike to a lesser-known creeking spot and learn about the history of Grant Park along the way. Once we get to the creek, we will discuss and identify fossils! This is a Tools to Trek Program.

Teen BIG Games Challenge
Ages 9 – 14
Let’s take it to the BIG field and get some energy out before heading back to school! This evening will include all your favorite versions of dodgeball, Nerf challenges and capture the flag. We will cool down with water games and frozen treats! Please be sure to note any allergies.

Neighborhood Yoga: Breathwork/Meditation
Ages 18 and up
Exploring various yoga styles is as easy as walking down to your neighborhood park. Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Young Birders Club Southwest Chapter Meeting
Ages 10 – 18
Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of birdwatching to our youth. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club. The Summer Session of the Southwest Chapter is hosted by the Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. You must register through them to attend.
