Teen Clay Workshop
Ages 11 – 15
Join Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush to get creative with clay. This program will include a review of clay tools and techniques as well as time for participants to sketch potential creations using their two pounds of clay. Glazing will be done during this session as well. Projects will be functional, but not food safe.

Teen Drawing Workshop
Ages 11 – 15
Join Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush to learn different drawing techniques, including anime-style drawing, life drawing (cosplay is 100% welcome) and last but not least, a fun drawing game! Participants will be using recycled book pages as a drawing surface and pen/watercolor markers, pencils and colored pencils with blenders.

Mixed Media Art Workshop
Ages 7 – 10
Participants will use a variety of materials to create a 3D nature scene including air dry clay to sculpt pieces to add to their scene. Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush will bring all the supplies needed and discuss art terms and how to create 3D projects.

Outdoor Photography Scavenger Hunt
All ages
Participants will explore the park through a photography scavenger hunt. Following the scavenger hunt, families will share photos with one another and the team with the most items found on the list will receive a prize! All families need to bring a device to take photos, preferably one that has a screen to view the photos. Cell phone cameras are acceptable! One registration per family.

Glass Fusing: Wind Dancers
Ages 16 and up
Kick off the spring season with this brand-new glass fusing class. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will lead participants through the basics of glass fusing. Create three 3″ squares that will be hooked together with mirrors in between to capture the spring breeze!

Foodie Adventures!
Ages 6 – 12 with an adult companion
Calling all foodies! Join us during spring break to try fruits and vegetables enjoyed around the world. In this food-tasting adventure, explore (potentially) new-to-you foods as you expand your palate and experience global cuisine. Led by Michelle Daniel of the Lifestyle Technique.

Eggstra Special Doggy Day
All ages
This eggstra special dog day is back for an extra special 3rd annual egg hunt! Join us at the dog park for a dog-friendly egg hunt, fun dog-themed activities, giveaways and more! All activities will happen right outside the dog park and the off-leash areas will remain open for dogs to play. Egg hunt prizes available while supplies last.
Registration is not required.
Outdoor Explorers
Ages 9 – 12
Mondays, April 1 – May 6
Children will learn about nature and the outdoors in this program designed to allow children to interact with nature in unique ways. Activities include discovery, games and creeking. We occasionally celebrate the last session of the season with a campfire and s’mores. Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions by answering the custom questions upon registration.

Young Birders Club Chapter Meeting
Ages 11 – 18
Bird watching and identification is fascinating. You will walk away with a greater knowledge of birds and their role in the ecosystem. Club activities are based on participant feedback, so you direct the focus of study. A light snack is included. Participants must be members of the Ohio Young Birders Club.

Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike will be on a natural path. This is a Tools to Trek program. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Ages 6 – 8

Beautiful Blooms Wildflower Tour
All ages
These tiny treasures can only be seen for a short time! An instructor will lead you along the path to search for all the spring wildflowers the forests have to offer. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Succulent Terrarium with Now and Zen
Ages 12 and up
In this fun and creative workshop with Now and Zen Terrariums, you’ll fill a beautiful 8″ round glass vessel with an array of succulents, cacti and embellishments to create a unique indoor landscape design. All materials, care information and a box to carry your project home are included.

Native Plant Gardening Restores Nature (& People)
Ages 14 and up
We are thrilled to welcome Susan and Jon Cross! The Crosses have successfully restored their 20 acres to its native state. Their experience models how everyone, no matter where they live, can contribute to healthy environments, clean water and the return of native species. After their presentation, we will stroll around the park and take in the beauty of nature.

Join a Park District tennis league and play tennis in the parks this spring! Several levels of play allow opportunities for all abilities. All leagues are 10 weeks long.
