It Comes Full Circle: The “Pi Day” Hike
All ages
It’s Pi Day! Join us for either an approximately 3.14-mile hike on natural and paved trails or a 1-mile hike on crushed limestone and paved paths. Staff and volunteers will guide you through the park. A limited number of custom CWPD Pi Day stickers and special treats will be available at the end! Please dress for natural trails and bring water. Natural trails may be muddy. Strollers are not recommended on natural trails.
Walk-up registration is permitted for this program. Preregistration is requested so we can plan accurately.
Preschool Nature Series: Maple Sugaring
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
Let’s celebrate and learn about sugar maples! We will learn how and why these trees are used for maple syrup production. Then we will visit some tapped trees and take a taste of some real syrup.

Watercolor Waterfall Painting
Ages 18 and up
In this workshop, we are going to create a waterfall painting using resistance techniques. We will start with a quick warm-up exercise, then a black and white watercolor and wrap up with a full-color watercolor. Leave the class with two versions of your waterfall. Studio materials are provided to use while in the class.

Crafts with Nature
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
We will complete crafts with sensory themes and take short hikes in the park. This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking. Strollers are not recommended at parks with natural terrain. The Crafts with Nature March programs are identical, please only select one.

All ages
Wooden eggs can be reused in your holiday traditions or used as décor. Your family will get one dozen wooden eggs to paint and personalize. During the painting process, the instructor will showcase replica bird eggs. Price includes one dozen 2.5-inch flat-bottomed eggs. Paint is provided.

Dancing Woodcocks
Ages 8 and up
We will head out at dusk to search for the American Woodcock and observe their spectacular dance! This is a Tools to Trek program.
