Young Birders Club Chapter Meeting
Ages 11 – 18
Bird watching and identification is a fascinating subject. You will walk away with a greater knowledge of birds and their role in the ecosystem. Club activities are based on participant feedback, so you direct the focus of study. A light snack is included. Participants must be members of the Ohio Young Birders Club.

Let’s Meet Up
All ages
Meet other parents/caregivers and their children. Stop by the Kennard Nature Nook for a free snack. Then, explore the nature play area and trails during this casual meet-up! Staff will plan one activity for each session that children can participate in before or after unstructured playtime.
Glass Fusing: Scenic Fall Trees A
Ages 16 and up
Create a beautiful forest with fall trees and leaves on a 10.75″ square of glass. This project is a perfect piece to add to your fall décor! A metal hanger will be added if you would like for it to be a window decoration! All materials, except a stand for your project, are included.

Campfire Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Celebrate the crisp evening weather with Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees! Enjoy some downtime next to the warm and cozy fire. This outdoor yoga class will include warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation around the campfire.

Join us for a fun scavenger hunt featuring characters from Cryptids Together, a comic by professional cartoonist Steve Stegelin showcased in the Cincinnati Cabinet of Curiosities comics anthology. Every Friday in October we will send you a clue to find a cryptid in one of your 51 parks. Scan QR codes on the signs to document your sightings and you will be eligible to win a beastly basket filled with prizes!

Canvas Painting and Storytime: Cheerful Pumpkins
Ages 3 – 6 with adult companion
Children will create a unique pumpkin design on canvas and enjoy a silly pumpkin story during this fun evening with Kristin Bailey from The Purple Paintbrush.

Halloween Hop & Howl
All ages
Put on your Halloween best and join us for a festive stroll for preschoolers and their families around the park. Themed signs will be placed along the path to get kids moving and grooving as they collect goodies at various stations. Families are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the Halloween spirit. The first 100 participants will receive tickets for free Kona Ice, sponsored by Tammy Zell of the Sasser Group/KW Advisors Realty! Note: Kona Ice is weather dependent. This is a “teal pumpkin” event — all treats will be allergy-friendly. Please bring your own bag to collect treats!
This event is in partnership with the South Metro Optimist Club of Centerville.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages
Mondays, October 9 & 23, November 13
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Dance Fitness with Emily
Ages 18 and up
This class is a total body workout designed to bring people (like you!) together through music and dance. We dance to various styles of music (Latin, hip hop, pop, global rhythms, etc.) which provides a good mix of low to high-intensity moves. Instructor Emily Chandler strives to make this class high-energy and a lot of fun! Please bring a bottle of water.

Spooky Stitching
Ages 16 and up
Come and make a creepy craft with us! This beginner-friendly embroidery program will cover the basic stitches each participant will use to create their own piece of Halloween embroidery. All supplies will be provided, and no previous experience is needed to enjoy this spooky stitching program.
