Ages 6 – 12

We are going wild for wildlife this week! Your camper will explore the park, play games and complete crafts all while learning about the wildlife that call Bill Yeck Park their home. Wildlife in different habitats move in different ways, and your camper will follow along as each day will focus on a different critter that crawls, hops, soars, swims or leaps!

Ages 18 and up

Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Ages 3 – 5

It is music week! We will have a wide variety of art projects that feature musical elements and dance parties. We will make our own instruments and check out some lesser-known instruments from around the world! Jim McCutcheon, the Guitar Man of McCutcheon Music will be joining us for a special camp concert this week as well. Please dress in old clothing, and we will provide aprons for especially messy crafts.

Ages 18 and up
Mondays, June 9 – July 21
(No class June 16 or 30)

You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Ages 8 – 15

We will learn the basics of NASP competition-style archery and put the skills learned to practice. No experience is required! By the end of the program, you’ll be firing arrows on your own and competing in friendly competitive games to enhance learning! All equipment is provided. Adult guardians are welcome to stay, observe, or drop off and leave.

Ages 16 and up (under 18 requires adult companion)

Airrosti’s Dr. Steven Miller and Adelle will teach you how to manage, reduce and eliminate musculoskeletal pain through preventative self-myofascial release techniques using a foam roller and lacrosse ball. If you have a foam roller, lacrosse ball or mat, please bring them. There will be a limited supply of foam rollers and lacrosse balls on hand to use.

Ages 14 and up

Turn old into bold! Breathe new life into your favorite shirt in this creative and fun hands-on workshop. Bring a cotton or broadcloth garment with a small hole, stain or outdated design. Transform it into a one-of-a-kind piece using the timeless art of hand-sewn appliqué. Learn to select fabrics, design your appliqué and master the border stitch to attach your custom creation. Want to start small? Use cotton fabric and an embroidery hoop to create appliqué décor to display.

Ages 18 and up

Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Fridays, June 13, July 11 & August 15

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.

Registration is not required but is recommended.

All ages

Let’s look for birds together on this slow-paced walk! We will keep a list of what we see and the habitat in which we observe them. Participants will learn about basic bird identification and compare observations between the meadow and forest habitats. This is a Tools to Trek program.

All ages

Bring white cotton (100% cotton works best) garments to dye. We will help you turn them into one-of-a-kind tie-dye works of art. Be sure to wear something you don’t mind getting messy! After you create your project, cool off in the sprayground and with Kona Ice!

Rain date is Saturday, June 21.

Ages 5 – 12
Monday – Wednesday & Friday, June 16 –18 & 20 (no camp on June 19)

This week is all about speed! We will learn about some of Ohio’s fastest animals, from the coyote to the peregrine falcon! We will also show off our own speed in your favorite camp games, relay races and hikes. Think you can keep up for this week of competitive, outdoor fun? No camp will be held on June 19 in recognition of Juneteenth.
