Watercolor Painting Using Resist Techniques
Ages 18 and up
In this workshop, we will create stylized nature paintings using resist techniques. We will explore a variety of techniques while creating our paintings. Leave the class with two stylized, nature-themed paintings! All skill levels are welcome! This class is best for beginner to intermediate level participants. All equipment will be provided.

Hound Hike
All ages
Join us for a self-guided hike through the trails of Bill Yeck Park, complete with sniff-stops along the way. Your dog will explore brand-new scents, and you get a beautiful fall hike with your best friend. Afterwards, treat your pup to a fall-themed pup-cup! Participants are welcome to come anytime during the program. The final time to start the hike is 5:30 p.m.
Registration is not required.
Yoga in the Park F
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, October 20 – November 24
Method Studio’s Megan Lees leads these yoga classes for all levels. Classes include warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation.

Gentle Yoga B
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, October 21 – November 25
Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. This is an eight-week session. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Fitness for Longevity (formerly Fitness Yoga)
Ages 18 and up

This class is designed to help you maintain the strength, mobility and power at age 100 that you have now. You’ll work motor units—which disappear if we don’t use them—and all types of muscle, from slow twitch to fast twitch. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

The Great Squirrel Search
All ages
Squirrel fans unite! How many squirrels can we find in Bill Yeck Park in 90 minutes? We will scurry through the trail in the light and dark to find as many squirrels as possible. Why? Why not! Along the way, your leader will give you trivia and challenges. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Fall Foliage Camp A

Much like our summer day camp, campers will explore the park, but this time for all things fall foliage! Children will participate in games, crafts and nature programs, staying active on their days off. Fall Foliage Camps A and B are separate programming; participants may attend both.

Glass Fusing: Sunflower Suncatcher
Ages 16 and up
Capture the golden and glowing autumn sunlight with a 4.5″ by 9″ suncatcher featuring sunflowers! Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will provide the supplies. Beginners and returners alike are welcome to this new class!

Pumpkin Spice Paint Night
Ages 16 and up
Join us for a cozy and creative night in the Community Room! Try out watercolor paintbrush pens to bring a pre-outlined autumn scene to life while enjoying a relaxing ambiance with plenty of fall-themed refreshments. All supplies included, participants will get to keep their watercolor paint pen set.

Confidence Behind the Camera
Ages 14 and up
Join local artist and educator Heather Ballard for a “level 2 beginner” class to learn the basics on how to use your DSLR or mirrorless camera. Get out of auto mode! This session will include time outside photographing autumn color in the park and a more in-depth introduction to the basics of exposure, camera settings and composition. Bring your fully charged camera and memory card.

Honeysuckle Homestead
All ages
Join us for a family-friendly day of honeysuckle removal! While we accomplish the important task of removing invasive honeysuckle from the park, we will also build forts in the Mark Kruesch Nature Playce with the honeysuckle sticks and vine!
There will be children’s games and a picnic around a fire with hot dogs to roast, chips and drinks. The day will culminate with a dessert of Honeysuckle Tea and cookies. The group with the most impressive fort will win a prize basket!

Join instructor Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling to spooky up your snacks! Create Halloween-themed healthy bites and treats, featuring mummy pizza and graveyard cake! Please note: all major food allergens could be present in this class

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.
