Mondays, March 9 – April 13
This class is designed to help you maintain the strength, mobility and power at age 100 that you have now. Accomplished through the incorporation of strength, cardio, power, balance and mindfulness focused on gratitude, forgiveness and compassion. All levels are welcome. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Crafts with Nature – Turtles!
Ages 18 months – 4 years with adult companion
We will complete crafts with nature/sensory themes, read stories, play games and take short hikes in the park — all to spark a love of nature in our youngest community members! The theme for March is ‘Turtles!’. This program is limited to one adult companion per registrant.

Ages 6 – 9
This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! They will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.

Ohio Young Birders Club Chapter Meeting
Ages 12 – 18
Join the OYBC Southwest Chapter! Kettering PRCA and Centerville-Washington Park District are collaborating to bring the joy of bird watching to our youth through the Ohio Young Birders Club. Light snacks are provided. Participants must become members of the Ohio Young Birders Club.

Amazing Athletes at the Park

Wednesdays, March 11 – April 15
Join Amazing Athletes to practice coordination, fine motor and gross motor skills! This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. This class will be held indoors with the option to go outside when the weather permits.

National Plant a Flower Day!
Recommended for families with children ages 5 and up
March 12 is National Plant a Flower Day! Decorate a flowerpot as a family and choose a native flower to grow. While we craft, we will learn about different types of gardening and how flowers support wildlife. Register individually if your group would like more than one flowerpot. Join Now and Zen DIY to find your calm and creativity as you design a peaceful miniature landscape complete with a charming bridge that symbolizes balance, mindfulness and life’s journey. Choose from serene succulents, moss, stones and natural accents to craft your own tranquil scene … a daily reminder to slow down, breathe and stay centered.

Family Birdwatching Walk: Waterfowl That Wow!
All ages
Ohio has entertained the world with legendary performers–and our wetlands put on a show of their own! As duck migration season begins, join us for a family-friendly birdwatching walk to search the ponds and creek for waterfowl and shorebirds. Along the way, we’ll spotlight the incredible “star qualities” and adaptations that help these birds survive in the wild. Which feathered performers will we see taking the stage in our Ohio wetlands?
This program is part of the America-250 Ohio celebration.

Preschool Nature Series: Snails, Slugs and Slime
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
Snails and slugs are unique creatures. We will learn about their life cycles, habits and roles in the ecosystem! Join us for a hike and activity! Hike is on a natural path. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Glass Fusing: Wind Dancers
Ages 16 and up
Kick off the spring season with this glass fusing class. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will lead participants through the basics of glass fusing. Create three 3″ squares that will be hooked together with mirrors in between to capture the spring breeze!

Spring Equinox Celebration
All ages
Welcome the spring season with a fun family event! We will have a variety of flower-themed activities, including story time and crafts. Participants will receive native wildflower seeds to take home and plant in their gardens.
Registration is requested. Registered participants will receive a cancellation notice if necessary due to inclement weather. No pets, please.
