ACtivity Squad Camp Week 2
Ages 9 – 13
Each week has different themes and activities. We will split into teams to play games outdoors! Activities will include laser tag, archery tag, water tag, capture the flag and a Nerf battle! We will learn about creatures in nature that also work in teams. We will mix up teams throughout the day.

Start summer off with a splash! Learn all about creeks, play water-filled games, and go on adventures to, and sometimes even through, the water habitats of Grant Park! Bring your creek shoes for this adventure!

Recreation Day Camp (RDC) offers a variety of recreation activities, sports, games, arts and crafts, guest speakers and more! This fun program keeps children outdoors and active all week! Recreation Day Camp is weather-dependent; you will receive a refund for any canceled days at the end of the week.

Junior Naturalist Camp: Forest Dwellers
Ages 10 – 12
We will conduct wildlife surveys, climb trees with EarthJoy, hike, go creeking, and take on silly team challenges. Each week will have a different nature theme to study. We will spend one day each week at Oak Grove Park where we will focus on archery, special activities and challenges related to our weekly theme.

Sugar Valley Day Camp Week 2
Ages 6 – 12
We are going wild for wildlife this week! Your camper will explore the park, play games and complete crafts all while learning about the wildlife that call Bill Yeck Park their home. Wildlife in different habitats move in different ways, and your camper will follow along as each day will focus on a different critter that crawls, hops, soars, swims or leaps!

Bike Centerville Community Ride A
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Ages 3 – 5
It is music week! We will have a wide variety of art projects that feature musical elements and dance parties. We will make our own instruments and check out some lesser-known instruments from around the world! Jim McCutcheon, the Guitar Man of McCutcheon Music will be joining us for a special camp concert this week as well. Please dress in old clothing, and we will provide aprons for especially messy crafts.

Fitness Yoga B
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, June 9 – July 21
(No class June 16 or 30)
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Beginner Archery
Ages 8 – 15
We will learn the basics of NASP competition-style archery and put the skills learned to practice. No experience is required! By the end of the program, you’ll be firing arrows on your own and competing in friendly competitive games to enhance learning! All equipment is provided. Adult guardians are welcome to stay, observe, or drop off and leave.

Suncatcher Search
Ages 3 – 6
Who needs the sun? Why is it so important? How do plants use the sun’s energy? Make suncatchers after learning about the importance of the sun in nature and our daily lives. This is a Tools to Trek Program.

Neighborhood Yoga A: Gentle Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Flower Hammering: Natural Dye Prints
Ages 14 and up
Create dynamic process art that preserves stunning summer flower hues. Learn how to decorate a variety of materials with these natural dyes. Make a set of tea towels, a tote bag or wall art. Participants will use a hammer and physical strength to create their artwork. No experience is needed to participate.

Family Birdwatching Walk
All ages
Let’s look for birds together on this slow-paced walk! We will keep a list of what we see and the habitat in which we observe them. Participants will learn about basic bird identification and compare observations between the meadow and forest habitats. This is a Tools to Trek program.
