Art-chery (Adult)

Have you ever painted a pink and blue tree using only cotton balls? This might be your chance! First, you’ll learn the basics of archery. Then, you’ll use your new skills to aim at the targets. Your arrows will determine the colors, tools and inspiration for an artistic masterpiece of your creation! All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.

Nature Journaling through Watercolor: Landscapes

Materials to bring: travel watercolor paint set, aqua paint brush, waterproof fine tip pen, pencil with eraser, bull clip, drawing board, and a sketchbook or journal (or any other materials you’d like to use instead). Fitness for Longevity A

This class is designed to maintain strength, mobility and power at an advanced level, regardless of your age. Exercises are designed to improve breath work and fascia alongside joint and heart health.

 

Due to the incorporation of a full range of exercises from calisthenics to long holds and deep stretches, prior exercise experience is highly recommended. Taught by Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

A Walk in the Park

These are self-guided walks around your community parks! Walking helps maintain a healthy weight, increases energy, lifts your spirits, strengthens memory and protects from heart disease and high blood pressure.

Trail Trekking/Nordic Walking (w/ pole rental)

Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays & Fridays, June 2 – August 28

 

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the fall. A limited number of rental poles are available.

Gentle Yoga A

Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. Please bring a yoga mat and water.
