The chickens need your help! In this Minecraft-inspired class, kids will team up to solve puzzles, crack clues, and complete hands-on challenges in an escape room-style adventure. NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT EVENT ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.

Join Amazing Athletes to practice coordination, fine motor and gross motor skills! This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. LIFT UP focuses on six essential concepts to get us through trying times and boldly embrace life — Laugh, Inspire, Fellowship, Thrive, Uplift and Play. Each week, we will enjoy a laughter club, creative experience, group games and personal connection. This club is a fun and unique opportunity for adults to connect and develop tools against depression and isolation.

Get ready to move, play, and shout BINGO! Compete in a variety of fun fitness challenges like jumping, balancing, and running to fill in a bingo card. Complete a row or go for a full blackout! This event is all about staying active while having a blast in the park.

Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Butterflies often steal the show with their bright colors, but did you know moths are even more diverse and play a critical role in our ecosystems? These mostly nocturnal creatures are essential pollinators and are deeply connected to native plants, birds, bats, and the entire forest community. Join us for an enchanting evening program that will take you on a pictorial journey into the fascinating world of moths—creatures that are often overlooked yet vital to biodiversity. Learn how you can support these important insects through “moth-gardening” in your own yard, helping to strengthen the ecosystem around you. Inspired by the book Gardening for Moths by Jim McCormac and Chelsea Gottfried, this program will conclude with a guided moth walk—your chance to observe these remarkable creatures up close.

Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All sessions are Tools to Trek programs.

Registration is not required but is recommended. This is a Tools to Trek program!

Grow Together Native Garden Club will focus on the entire household working as a team to manage your own native wildflower gardens at home. Each meeting, families will share their garden adventures, learn about garden ecology, give our small garden space a little TLC and spend some time creating or playing! This is a Tools to Trek program.

Start your morning with some mom talk during a toddler walk and playground playtime. We will meet at the shelter for introductions, coffee and breakfast snacks then walk along “Owlexander’s Wetland Walk.” Register one person per family. All siblings welcome.

We are offering an early arrival option for children needing a quieter, sensory-friendly Fairy and Gnome Home Festival experience. Registration is required for this time slot to allow for a more controlled environment for participants. Registration is by family. Please register only one family member.

Celebrate your child’s imagination and creativity with CWPD! Build a fairy and gnome home out of natural materials for our woodland residents. Upon arrival, your family will receive special currency to purchase natural embellishments for your home. Visit the realtor to get your home lot number and build a lovely house for our forest friends. Other activities will include music provided by the Dayton Dulcimer Society, a craft and more! Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops will be available for purchase.

All ages with grandparents(s) (recommended for children ages 3 – 12)

This Grandparents Day, we invite you to celebrate yours with us! Grandchildren and their grandparent(s) will gather at the Kennard Nature Nook for an afternoon of nature crafts, stories in the shade, an indoor tea party and nature play! One registration per family (5 maximum per family). This program is geared towards grandparents and their grandchildren.

Ages 12 – 17 plus a family member over 21

Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this summer! All leagues are six weeks long. Six Franklin X-40 pickleballs per team are included and can be picked up from Park District Headquarters prior to league play. This for-fun league is open to any doubles teams (men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles) comprised of a teen and their parent/guardian or other close family member over the age of 21. You may be assigned matches at either start time listed.

Join us for a fun, family session of archery! We will learn the basics of archery and play some competitive, fall-themed games. All equipment is provided and no experience is necessary. Please register each participating member of your family.

Method Yoga’s Megan Lees leads these yoga classes for all levels. Classes include a warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses, and end with relaxation.
