Trekking with Nordic poles is a wonderful way to cross-train or try something new. Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks during this self-guided meet-up program! You must bring your own Nordic poles if you sign up for this option.

Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the spring. A limited number of rental poles are available.

Preschool Play Yard: Tuesdays

Tuesdays June 4 – 25
Children will enjoy songs, crafts, hikes and games. Each week will have a different theme. This station-based drop-off program is sponsored by the South Metro Optimist of Centerville Women’s Club.

Classic Archery Camp
Ages 8 – 12
Tuesday – Thursday, June 4 – 6

2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
This introductory archery camp will teach the basics of competition-style archery. Using technique, range safety and basic archery terms, campers will enjoy games and gain a new hobby to enjoy with friends. All equipment will be provided.

Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike is on a natural path. This is a Tools to Trek program. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Let’s get you moving outdoors this summer! Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.

Fitness Yoga A
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, June 5 – July 17
(No class on July 3)
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Fitness Fusion
Ages 18 and up

Fitness Fusion incorporates cardio, circuit training, resistance training, pilates and compound exercises. Modifications provided. Taught by Emily Chandler, a certified group fitness instructor. You will need a light set of weights and a towel or yoga mat.

Conservation Crew: Herpetological Survey
Ages 12 – 18
CWPD is partnering for a second year with the Ohio Partners in Amphibian & Reptile Conservation (OHPARC) to learn more about Ohio’s herpetofauna through a field camera survey. Participants will earn volunteer hours they can use to fulfill school, scout or other community service projects. Each field visit is expected to take one hour, including time to remotely enter information in a database.

Neighborhood Yoga: Gentle Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

YoGlow
Ages 18 and up
Method Yoga Studio owner and instructor Megan Lees will lead this outdoor yoga class in the peaceful park setting. We will provide glow bracelets for all participants to wear! This yoga class is for all levels and will include a warm-up, breathwork, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.
Registration is not required, but registered participants will receive reminder and/or cancellation emails.
Living Wall Art with Now and Zen
Ages 12 and up
Join local business Now and Zen Terrariums to create a one-of-a-kind 8″ x 10″ wall art project with live air plants. You will be able to select from a variety of unique embellishments to add to your piece to reflect your style and vibe!

The BIG Challenge Scavenger Hunt
All ages
Select your level of challenge and we will pack a backpack for you and your family to use as you complete tasks in Grant Park. Start at the Kennard Nature Nook to pick up your backpack and head out as a family to see if you can beat the clock! One registration per family.
