My Grown Up and Me: Owlexander’s Tyke Hike
Recommended for ages 3 and under, siblings welcome
Follow Owlexander through the park as he helps build early literacy skills and improve physical motor skills for busy early learners. Participants will make an owl puppet to take on the short hike. This program is offered in partnership with the Washington-Centerville Public Library.

Couples Charcuterie Picnic & Hike
Ages 18 and up
Celebrate Sweetest Day with instructor Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling! Create a charcuterie tray to take on a hike right after you create it! Sign up one person per couple Please note: all major food allergens could be present in this class. The hike is weather-dependent.

Intergenerational Series: Pumpkin Party
Ages 4 – 8 with grandparent(s)
Grandchildren and grandparent(s) will create a pumpkin craft, enjoy pumpkin stories and search for pumpkins large and small!

Hound Hike
All ages.
Join us for a self-guided hike through the trails of Bill Yeck Park, complete with sniff-stops along the way. Your dog will explore brand-new scents, and you get a beautiful fall hike with your best friend. Afterwards, treat your pup to a fall-themed pup-cup! Participants are welcome to come anytime during the program. The final time to start the hike is 5:30 p.m.

Yoga in the Park F
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, October 21 – November 25
Method Studio’s Megan Lees leads these yoga classes for all levels. Classes include warm-up, breath work, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation.

Halloween Goat Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Goat Country, LLC. will bring their adorable goats dressed in costumes for a special Halloween program. Practice some classic poses while interacting with the goats. Additionally, participants are encouraged to wear costumes to get in the Halloween spirit! Time for pictures and cuddles with the mini goats will be included at the end.

Spooky Slime Making
Ages 8 – 12
Join us for a new session of slime making with Halloween-themed additions! This program is a great way to get creative while making new friends and trying new slime recipes for fun and stress relief! Due to the variety of types of slime, please be sure to note any allergies.

Sew Much Fun: Mushroom Pillows
Ages 7 – 13
Create a soft, fluffy mushroom pillow as you learn how to sew! Learn the. basic stitches and techniques needed to create your project. Decorate your mushroom pillow while learning about our favorite mushrooms. No experience is necessary to take part in this beginner-friendly class.

Glass Fusing: Night Light A
Ages 16 and up
Create a 3.25″ by 3.25″ nightlight to add a unique glow to the dark winter evenings. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will provide the supplies. Beginners and returners alike are welcome to this new class!

My First Leaf Collection Hike
Ages 3 – 6 with adult companion
Work on your leaf collection during this stroll through the park! We will look for leaves together for you to take home and create your leaf collection. We recommend bringing a standard notebook to store your leaves during the hike.

Kid’s Glass Fusing: Penguin Ornaments B
Ages 6 – 10 with adult companion
Children will use their creativity to make two penguin ornaments! Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will assist the children and parents, guardians or grandparents as they work together on this unique project. Please register each child attending.

Empowering Outdoors: Coffee & Conversation
Ages 18 and up
Join the Centerville-Washington Park District and the local non-profit Hope Wanders to enjoy coffee and conversation with guest speakers and/or an educational experience followed by a walk or hike. This session will include an introduction to First Aid on the trail including hygiene and dressing for cold weather followed by a 1.3-mile hike to practice new skills. Erin Compaleo, Assistant Director, Outdoor Recreation at Wright State University will lead the informational overview. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes.

Nature Fun: An Outdoor Family Storytime
All ages
Families are invited to join us outside to listen to a story brought to you by the Washington-Centerville Public Library! Participate in nature-themed activities following the story. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on.

Owlexander’s Preschool Power Path
Ages 3 – 6 with an adult companion
Little adventurers will embark on an exciting journey filled with fun challenges! This specifically designed course features obstacles that will put children’s athletic skills to the test. As they navigate through the course, preschoolers develop gross motor skills, coordination, and teamwork, all while having a hoot of a time! Owlexander will make an appearance at the event!
Oh My Gourd Archery A
Ages 8 – 15
What better use of old Halloween pumpkins than to shoot them with arrows? Join us for an evening of archery, but this time aim for pumpkins! We will learn the basics of archery and put the skills learned into practice. Participants will compete in friendly fall-themed competitions. All equipment is provided.
