Embroidery Journaling: Stitch the Year with CWPD

Enhance your stitching skills as we continue our journey through 2025. This class will take us through the spring months as we create an embroidered journal representing important or special memories with simple stitches and colorful designs. Some experience with stitching is recommended. Each session will include light refreshments and a nature talk on a seasonal topic.

Pickleball League Mixed Doubles Beginner A

Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this spring! All leagues are 6 weeks long. Please note, this is a league designed for players with a basic understanding of pickleball rules, but who are still early in their pickleball skill development. No instruction/lessons are included in the league.

Lacrosse Ball/Foam Rolling Clinic

Ages 16 and up (under 18 requires adult companion)

 

Airrosti’s Dr. Steven Miller and Adelle will teach you how to manage, reduce and eliminate musculoskeletal pain through preventative self-myofascial release techniques using a foam roller and lacrosse ball. This class will focus on both upper and lower body exercises.

Outdoor Explorers

Outdoor play is vital to child development and well-being. This program, designed to allow children to interact with nature in unique ways, teaches children about nature and the outdoors. Activities include discovery, challenges and games.

Art & Imagination

This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! They will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.

Join us for a night of archery basics! This program is for beginners interested in learning archery. By the end of this program, you’ll be shooting on your own, playing games and increasing your confidence as an archer. Each group can have up to four people. All equipment will be provided. This program teaches children about nature and the outdoors. Activities include discovery, challenges and games. We occasionally celebrate the last session of the season with a campfire and s’mores. Hike with a Naturalist

Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Needle Felting Birds

We will be felting beautiful birds just in time for warmer weather. This class is designed for all skill levels, providing as much or as little assistance as you would like. All supplies and materials needed to create your project will be provided. No previous experience is necessary.

Eggstra Special Doggy Day

All ages (children must be 8 or older to enter dog park)

 

Join us at the dog park for an ‘egg’ hunt for your dog(s), dog-themed crafts, special activities, community partners, giveaways and more! Egg hunt prizes are available while supplies last. The off-leash dog park will remain open for your dog(s) to socialize and play.

 

Registration is not required. Please review the dog park rules before attending!

Garlic Mustard Pull-a-palooza & Picnic

Bill Yeck Park, Smith House 2230 E. Centerville Station Road, Centerville, OH, United States

This fun family day will start with an explanation of how to identify garlic mustard, an invasive species causing harm to native plant species, and why it needs to go! Volunteers will pick garlic mustard in assigned areas. This is family/child-friendly as garlic mustard is close to the ground and easy to pull. At the end of the pulling, everyone will come to Bill Yeck Park Smith House for a garlic mustard recipe tasting and a picnic lunch (self-provided).

 

We will have games to play! After lunch and games, we will provide ice cream for dessert.
