Does your child love art time? This drop-off program is designed to give your child an opportunity to get creative! They will try new techniques and design unique projects based on a monthly nature theme.

Trail Trekking Evening Skill Sessions
Ages 18 and up
Tuesdays, March 12, April 16 & May 14
Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to focus on refining a particular skill for each session.
March (Oak Creek South Park): Engaging the Core/Improving Posture
April (Schoolhouse Park): Stretching, Balance, and Flexibility
May (Forest Field Park): Arm Day! Building Up Arm Muscles
We ask that you please preregister so that we can have an accurate prediction of attendees.
National Plant a Flower Day!
All ages
March 12 is National Plant a Flower Day! Decorate a flowerpot as a family. While the flowerpot dries, we’ll take a hike through the meadows to look for signs of spring! We will return to our flowerpots to plant flower seeds of your choice. Please register individually if your group would like more than one flowerpot.

Join Up and Running trail leaders as you enjoy running on natural trails. This running group is for experienced runners and includes meadows, trails and hills. Meet at the Normandy Entrance (501 Normandy Ridge Rd.) of Grant Park or the Smith Entrance (2230 E. Centerville Station Rd.) of Bill Yeck Park. Sign up once for the entire year! There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime!

This take-home kit features crafts and activities revolving around a fun nature-based seasonal theme! There will be three different kits — one for each month!

Tai Chi Beginner
Ages 18 and up
Thursdays, March 14 – April 18
An introduction to Tai Chi and Qigong (pronounced Chi Kung) principles and form through Tai Chi Easy — a form created by Roger Jahnke, O.M.D. — to make Tai Chi accessible and fun for everyone. Taught by Judy Wilson, Certified Integral Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor. This class will take place outdoors with the option to move indoors for inclement weather.

Level up from Art & Imagination with this crafting program based on nature themes. We will teach new art skills and let participants get creative together!

It Comes Full Circle: The “Pi Day” Hike
All ages
It’s Pi Day! Join us for either an approximately 3.14-mile hike on natural and paved trails or a 1-mile hike on crushed limestone and paved paths. Staff and volunteers will guide you through the park. A limited number of custom CWPD Pi Day stickers and special treats will be available at the end! Please dress for natural trails and bring water. Natural trails may be muddy. Strollers are not recommended on natural trails.
Walk-up registration is permitted for this program. Preregistration is requested so we can plan accurately.
Preschool Nature Series: Maple Sugaring
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
Let’s celebrate and learn about sugar maples! We will learn how and why these trees are used for maple syrup production. Then we will visit some tapped trees and take a taste of some real syrup.
