Early Adventures
Ages 0 – 5 years with adult companion
Hit the trail with us! Your leader will point out seasonal changes and other natural points of interest in the parks. Hike is on a natural path. Backpacks and front carriers are appropriate if your child is not walking.

Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick.
There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime!
Amazing Athletes at the Park A
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, September 4 – October 9
This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Fitness Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Wednesdays, September 4 – October 9
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

YoGlow
Ages 18 and up
Method Yoga Studio owner and instructor Megan Lees will lead this outdoor yoga class. We will provide glow bracelets for all participants to wear! This yoga class is for all levels and will include a warm-up, breathwork, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.

Fairy and Gnome Home Festival (Early Arrival)

We are offering an early arrival option for children needing a quieter, sensory-friendly Fairy and Gnome Home Festival experience. Registration is required for this time slot to allow for a more controlled environment for participants. Registration is by family. Please register only one family member.

Fairy and Gnome Home Festival

Celebrate your child’s imagination and creativity with CWPD and the South Metro Optimists. Build a fairy and gnome home out of natural materials for our woodland residents. Other activities will include music, a craft and a scavenger hunt. Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops will be available for purchase.

Date Night Mystery Solve It!
Ages 18 and up
Join the Centerville-Washington Park District and the Washington-Centerville Public Library for a book signing of “Lit Lounge!” However, during the event, the author is suddenly slain! Enjoy coffee and conversation while you find clues to solve the mystery!

Tree Changes
Ages 18 and up
Sundays, September 8, October 6 & November 10
Join us over three months to watch the leaves change along the brown trail at Bill Yeck Park. Along the trail, staff will relay facts about trees, discuss tree identification and the changes occurring. This hike takes place on a natural path. Participants are not required to attend all three sessions.

Over the Rainbow Bridge

This National Pet Memorial Day, we invite our community members out for a night of remembrance. Bring photos of your pets who have passed on to add to our community Rainbow Bridge board.
Registration is not required. Dogs are welcome to attend. They must remain on a leash unless in the fenced-in dog park.

Outdoor Explorers

Children will learn about nature and the outdoors in this program designed to allow children to interact with nature in unique ways. Activities include discovery, games and creeking.

Tai Chi Intermediate
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, September 9 – October 14
Continue to develop Tai Chi and Qigong principles moving from Tai Chi Easy™ into Dr. Roger Jahnke’s Integral Tai Chi form. Taught by Judy Wilson, Certified Integral Qigong and Tai Chi Instructor. This class will take place outdoors with the option to move indoors for inclement weather, following the most up-to-date guidelines.

Art & Imagination

This drop-off program is designed to give your child the opportunity to get creative! they will design a variety of projects based on a monthly theme. Outdoor activities will be included when weather permits. Sign up for one or multiple sessions.
