At the park district, your losses are ours as well. This National Pet Memorial Day, we invite our community members to honor pets who have passed by adding their photos to the temporary Rainbow Bridge memorial. You can visit any time during daylight hours.

Junior Explorers

This program, designed to allow children to interact with nature in unique ways, teaches children about nature and the outdoors. Activities include discovery, challenges and games. We occasionally celebrate the last session of the season with a campfire and s’mores. Please let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions by answering the custom questions upon registration.

Pickleball League Any Doubles Beginner Wed

Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this fall! All leagues are 6 weeks long. This for-fun league is open to any doubles teams (men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles) at the beginner level. Please note that you may be assigned matches at any of the start times listed due to court availability. Note: this program is being modified during construction on Activity Center Pickleball Courts.

Glass Fusing: Birch Trees

Ages 16 and up

 

Pick your birch tree scene’s season — fall, winter, spring or summer! This project is a 10.75″ square of glass for you to design a beautiful birch tree scene with the season of your choice. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will lead participants through this customer-favorite class and help you start or complete your birch tree collection.

Gentle Yoga A

Join us for a gentler, more adaptable yoga program. This class will feature additional guidance, modifications and props to assist in supporting postures and a slower pace. Taught by certified yoga instructor Kathleen Crosby. Please bring a yoga mat and water.
