Butterfly Survey
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Family Fun Tennis Day
All ages
A fun-filled day enjoying tennis! Visit stations with games that will show you the tennis basics. Join in on a quick game! Participants should wear tennis shoes and are encouraged to bring their own racquet. Kona Ice will be in attendance available to purchase to help you beat the heat!
Registration is not required.
Creek Speak
All ages
Listening ears! While hiking to the creek spot, we will learn about the amazing summer migratory birds that nest and sing along our creek! This is a Tools to Trek program.

Beginner Archery
Ages 8 and up
We will learn the basics of NASP competition-style archery and put the skills learned to practice. No experience is required! By the end of the program, you’ll be firing arrows on your own and competing in friendly competitive games to enhance learning! All equipment is provided. Please register each participating person. If a child is participating, they may have an adult participate (if registered) or simply stay and observe (no registration required).

Bike Centerville Advanced Ride A
Ages 18 and up
This ride will take our Bike Centerville Community Rides up a level and be approximately 22 miles starting at Iron Horse Park, exploring Centerville, Kettering, Oakwood, and the Oregon District, before ending back where you started.

This week we will be joined by culinary professionals, including from Power Plant Juice Bar, to learn healthy and yummy recipes and refine our cooking skills. We will learn about the life cycle of the foods we love, while learning different ways to prepare them! We will cook outside if weather permits! Campers will take home their culinary creations to enjoy and will get their very own herb garden!

Pickleball League Any Doubles Intermediate+ A Mon

Mondays, July 8 – August 5
Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this summer! This for-fun league is open to any doubles teams (men’s, women’s or mixed doubles) at the intermediate level. Please note, this is a league designed for players with a strong understanding of pickleball rules, and who are at an intermediate or higher level of competition. No instruction/lessons are included in the league.

Please sign up for this will call if you are a single player without a partner. We will make every effort to match you with a partner and then enroll you in one of our intermediate+ pickleball leagues. Please indicate in the enrollment questions which intermediate+ league you prefer. Please note that the Any Doubles League (open to men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles) on Mondays is the easier league to find a partner for.
