We will use our imaginations and search for our favorite mythical creatures in the woods. Campers will learn all about the mythical creatures lurking in the parks and create homes for fairies, gnomes and more!

Culinary Adventures
Ages 10 – 15

Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
9:00 a.m. – noon

This week we will be joined by culinary professionals, including from Power Plant Juice Bar, to learn healthy and yummy recipes and refine our cooking skills. We will learn about the life cycle of the foods we love, while learning different ways to prepare them! We will cook outside if weather permits! Campers will take home their culinary creations to enjoy and will get their very own herb garden!

Mammal Mania
Ages 6 – 12

Monday – Friday, July 8 – 12
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Mammals far and wide will find this week’s camp fur-tastic! We will search the park for native mammals and talk about mammals from across the globe with guest speakers and games.

Mondays, July 8 – August 5

Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this summer! This for-fun league is open to any doubles teams (men’s, women’s or mixed doubles) at the intermediate level. Please note, this is a league designed for players with a strong understanding of pickleball rules, and who are at an intermediate or higher level of competition. No instruction/lessons are included in the league.

Registration deadline: Sunday, June 16

Ages 18 and up
Mondays or Tuesdays, July 8 – August 6

Please sign up for this will call if you are a single player without a partner. We will make every effort to match you with a partner and then enroll you in one of our intermediate+ pickleball leagues. Please indicate in the enrollment questions which intermediate+ league you prefer. Please note that the Any Doubles League (open to men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles) on Mondays is the easier league to find a partner for.

Join a Park District tennis league and play tennis in the parks this summer! Several levels of play allow opportunities for all abilities. All leagues are 10 weeks long.

Have recycling lying around? Join us and turn that recycling into a beautiful fairy garden. We will be providing art materials and extra building materials.

Join us on a stroll through your park! A naturalist will point out seasonal changes and discuss the wildlife we observe. Hike is on a natural path.

Registration deadline: Tuesday, July 9

Ages 12 and up

In this fun and creative workshop with Now and Zen Terrariums, you’ll fill a beautiful 8″ round glass vessel with an array of succulents, cacti and embellishments to create a unique indoor landscape design. All materials, care information and a box to carry your project home are included.

All ages

Crafts, musical activities, and Spanish-learning games will kick off the night! Bring a picnic blanket dinner, or have the professionals from What the Taco food truck cook for you. Grab a sweet treat from Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops. At sunset, we will gather around the big screen for a showing of Coco.
