This fun family day will start with an explanation of how to identify garlic mustard, an invasive species causing harm to native plant species, and why it needs to go! Volunteers will pick garlic mustard in assigned areas. This is family/child-friendly as garlic mustard is close to the ground and easy to pull. At the end of the pulling, everyone will come to Bill Yeck Park Smith House for a garlic mustard recipe tasting and a picnic lunch (self-provided).
We will have games to play! After lunch and games, we will provide ice cream for dessert.
