Embroidery Journaling: Stitch the Year with CWPD
Ages 14 and up
Thursday, June 5; Wednesday, July 2 & Thursday, August 7
This class will take us through the summer months as we create an embroidered journal representing important or special memories with simple stitches and colorful designs. While this program builds off the winter and spring sessions, you do not need to have attended these sessions to participate. Each session will include light refreshments and a nature talk on a seasonal topic.

Glass Fusing: Summer Spinners
Ages 16 and up
Start your summer by creating new decor to brighten your garden or windows. Kathy Woodruff from Busy Beaver will lead participants through the basics of glass fusing. Create three 3″ squares hooked together with mirrors to capture summer’s bright light!

YoGlow
Ages 18 and up
(Ages 14 and up may attend with an adult guardian)
Method Yoga Studio owner and instructor Megan Lees will lead this outdoor yoga class in the peaceful park setting. We will provide glow bracelets for all participants to wear! This yoga class is for all levels and will include a warm-up, breathwork, standing poses, flowing poses and end with relaxation. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.
Birdwatching Walk
Ages 16 and up
Summer migrants are here! Join us for a slow but exciting walk focused on our feathered friends. Participants will learn bird identification as we see who is chirping and chipping above us! Bring binoculars if you have them; a limited supply will be available to borrow.

Pollinator Puddler
Families with children ages 10 and up
Butterflies, bees and other pollinators are essential to our gardens and food supply. Join us for a hands-on workshop to learn about the importance of pollinators and how to support them. Create a pollinator puddler to take home. A pollinator puddler can be placed in gardens and backyards to help keep bees, butterflies and insects hydrated and happy!

Bike Centerville Community Ride A
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Fitness Yoga B
Ages 18 and up
Mondays, June 9 – July 21
(No class June 16 or 30)
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Beginner Archery
Ages 8 – 15
We will learn the basics of NASP competition-style archery and put the skills learned to practice. No experience is required! By the end of the program, you’ll be firing arrows on your own and competing in friendly competitive games to enhance learning! All equipment is provided. Adult guardians are welcome to stay, observe, or drop off and leave.

Suncatcher Search
Ages 3 – 6
Who needs the sun? Why is it so important? How do plants use the sun’s energy? Make suncatchers after learning about the importance of the sun in nature and our daily lives. This is a Tools to Trek Program.

Flower Hammering: Natural Dye Prints
Ages 14 and up
Create dynamic process art that preserves stunning summer flower hues. Learn how to decorate a variety of materials with these natural dyes. Make a set of tea towels, a tote bag or wall art. Participants will use a hammer and physical strength to create their artwork. No experience is needed to participate.

Family Birdwatching Walk
All ages
Let’s look for birds together on this slow-paced walk! We will keep a list of what we see and the habitat in which we observe them. Participants will learn about basic bird identification and compare observations between the meadow and forest habitats. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Firefly Yoga
Ages 18 and up
Enjoy a relaxing night of yoga with Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees while we watch the park sparkle! Learn about the bioluminescence of the firefly after practicing breathwork, standing poses, flowing poses and ending with relaxation surrounded by the glittering forest.

Summer Solstice Appreciation Night
Recommended for ages 14 and up
Celebrate the longest day of the year with the Centerville-Washington Park District and the Washington-Centerville Public Library. This evening will feature poetry around the campfire.
Registration is not required; however, registered participants will receive weather updates by email, if necessary.
