Succulent Terrarium with Now and Zen

In this fun and creative workshop with Now and Zen Terrariums, you’ll fill a beautiful 8″ round glass vessel with an array of succulents, cacti and embellishments to create a unique indoor landscape design. All materials, care information and a box to carry your project home are included.

Movie Party in the Park: Coco

Participants will play as members of a Forest Ranger’s Guild, working to protect and conserve a vibrant fantasy world. This four-day program will teach you everything you need to know about playing D & D. Each participant will be given their own set of dice. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome.

Let’s Meet Up: Nature Playce

Enjoy fresh air and nature playtime. Meet other parents/caregivers and their children. Stop by the Kennard Nature Nook for a free snack. Then, explore the Mark Kreusch Nature Playce during an unstructured and casual meet-up! An activity will be planned that children can participate in before or after unstructured playtime.

Summer Pressed Flowers

This class will begin with an introduction to various methods of flower pressing and preserving. After that, we will be pressing some flowers of our own and making art with dried flowers. Each participant will receive a wooden flower press to keep.

Neighborhood Yoga: Vinyasa Flow

Gentle yoga, vinyasa flow and breathwork + meditation classes will be offered in a soothing neighborhood park setting, led by Method Yoga Studio’s Megan Lees. Each class is suitable for all levels. Please bring a mat and water bottle. Classes are weather dependent.

Intergenerational Series: Bubbles & Bubble Art

Let’s explore bubbles together with a bubble party! We will make a unique craft using bubbles, enjoy bubble playtime and finish the session with a fun hike! Grand Reopening of the Sprayground

Join us for a ribbon cutting, refreshments and fun water play as we celebrate the reopening of the sprayground! The renovation, sponsored by Dayton Children’s Hospital, was designed to provide accessibility and joy for the community.

Empowering Outdoors: Coffee and Conversation July

Join the Centerville-Washington Park District and the local non-profit Hope Wanders to enjoy coffee and conversation with guest speakers and/or an educational experience followed by a walk or hike. This session will include an introduction to archery skills. Participants will learn about safety, supplies and get to use the bows and arrows to practice how to use them. Archery will be taught by a CWPD trained archery instructor. In addition, there will be a 1.5 mile paved walk.

 

 

Continuous Line Drawing & Watercolor Washes Class

We will work with a wildflower theme to explore combining continuous line drawings with watercolor washes to create a unique aesthetic. This technique will increase observation skills and brush dexterity. We will be using studio materials. Leave the class with your finished painting.

Bike Centerville Community Ride C

Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Dance Fitness with Emily

We dance to various styles of music (Latin, hip hop, pop, global rhythms, etc.) which provides a good mix of low to high-intensity moves. Instructor Emily Chandler strives to make this class high-energy and a lot of fun! We can guarantee you’ll leave this class feeling great! Please bring a bottle of water.
