Meet up with other trail trekking enthusiasts to trek through the parks through this self-guided meet-up program! Sign up to rent Nordic poles if you want to try trekking before you purchase your own set. You will be contacted to sign a borrower’s permit and pick up your set for the summer. A limited number of rental poles are available.

Let’s get you moving outdoors this fall! Staff and volunteers will lead groups for different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy.

Amazing Athletes at the Park
Ages 3 – 6
Wednesdays, September 6 – October 11
Come join Amazing Athletes as we practice our coordination, fine motor skills and gross motor skills! This program uses the fundamentals of 10 different sports to help build and develop motor skills, nutritional knowledge and body awareness. This class will be held outdoors when possible with the option to go inside for inclement weather, so please dress accordingly.

Join Up and Running trail leaders as you enjoy running on natural trails. This running group is for experienced runners and includes meadows, trails and hills. Please check online schedule for dates and locations for each week. If running group is canceled due to inclement weather, Up and Running will post a notification on social media.

Fitness Yoga
Ages 18 and up
You will get it all in one fitness class — a challenging workout, yoga practice, as well as mindfulness and functional movement for vitality and longevity. All levels are welcome. Taught by certified yoga instructor Dan Loofboro. Please bring a yoga mat and water.

Fitness Fusion
Ages 18 and up
Fitness Fusion incorporates cardio, circuit training, resistance training, pilates and compound exercises. Modifications provided. Taught by Emily Chandler, a certified group fitness instructor. You will need a light set of weights, and a towel or yoga mat.

Conservation Crew: Seed Collection Walk
Ages 12 – 18
We will walk the park and collect various native plant species that are going to seed. Hike will be on a natural path.

Introduction to Jewelry Making
Ages 10 – 15
Try a new art skill with Kristin Bailey from Purple Paintbrush! Students will learn a little history of jewelry making and how it has evolved through the years. Student will leave with two new pieces of jewelry!

YoGlow
Ages 18 and up
Method Yoga Studio owner and instructor Megan Lees will lead this outdoor yoga class in the peaceful park setting. We will provide glow bracelets for all participants to wear! This yoga class is for all levels. Please bring your yoga mat and water. Dress comfortably.

Owlexander’s Hoot Route Hike
Recommended for ages 8 and under
Hoot, hoot! You are invited to join us for a hike and story along the Hoot Route at Grant Park. Come along on an adventure with Owlexander and all of his friends. Participants will make an Owlexander puppet to take along on the hike. This program is offered in partnership with the Washington-Centerville Public Library.
Registration is not required but is recommended.
Fairy and Gnome Home Festival (Early Arrival)

We are offering an early arrival option for children needing a quieter, sensory-friendly Fairy and Gnome Home Festival experience. Registration is required for this time slot to allow for a more controlled environment for participants. Registration is by family. Please register only one family member.

Build a fairy and gnome home out of natural materials for our woodland residents. Upon arrival, your family will receive special currency to purchase natural embellishments for your home. Visit the realtor to get your home lot number and build a lovely house for our forest friends.
