Critters & Crawlers in the Garden
Ages 3 – 5 with adult companion
From wriggly worms and crawly millipedes, to buzzing bees and leaping grasshoppers, the garden is full of critters! At this fun-filled preschool program, you will get hands-on with the creatures that call gardens home. Read stories, meet some garden critters, and go on a BIG backyard bug search! All participants will also get to plant a flower to take home in their very own flower pot!

Butterfly Survey
Recommended for ages 8 and up
Help contribute to research by joining the naturalist on butterfly surveys. Identify and count butterflies while observing other seasonal wildlife as we stroll. No experience is necessary. Trail is approximately one mile in length on uneven terrain. This is a Tools to Trek program.

Watercolor – Drawing with a Paintbrush
Ages 18 and up
In this workshop, we are going to create loose watercolor botanical drawings. We will start with a quick charcoal value study, then a black and white wwateatercolor, and wrap up with an expressive full-color watercolor botanical. Leave the class with three versions of your botanical. All skill levels are welcome! All equipment will be provided.

Color Splash…Into Summer!
All ages
Bring white cotton (100% cotton works best) garments to dye. We will help you turn them into one-of-a-kind tie-dye works of art. Be sure to wear something you don’t mind getting messy! After you create your project, cool off in the sprayground and with Kona Ice!
Bike Centerville Community Ride B
Ages 18 and up
Take advantage of this opportunity to explore Centerville and Washington Township by bicycle. The ride will be led by trained and experienced bike leaders and will help you learn routes to shopping, parks and more! Rides will be an easy-paced 10 to 15 miles that start and end at a park.

Pickleball League Any Doubles My Teen & Me A
Ages 12 – 17 plus a family member over 21
Join a Park District pickleball league and play pickleball in the parks this summer! All leagues are six weeks long. Six Franklin X-40 pickleballs per team are included and can be picked up from Park District Headquarters prior to league play. This for-fun league is open to any doubles teams (men’s, women’s, or mixed doubles) comprised of a teen and their parent/guardian or other close family member over the age of 21. Please register your teen and list the participating family member in the questions. Both players must have an online account set up on the same household profile.

Recreation Day Camp (RDC) offers a variety of recreation activities, sports, games, arts and crafts, guest speakers and more! This fun program keeps children outdoors and active all week! Recreation Day Camp is weather-dependent; you will receive a refund for any canceled days at the end of the week.

ACtivity Squad Camp Week 4
Ages 9 – 13
Welcome, young ninjas! This week focuses on building our ninja skills, including coordination, agility, and strategy. Stealth and creativity will be tested through a variety of challenges. Valor Martial Arts will join us to build some taekwondo skills too!mWe will also practice our archery skills using inflatable S.A.F.E. Archery equipment!

Sugar Valley Day Camp Week 4

It will be a competition all week long! Your camper will play their favorite camp games, tie-dye team bandanas, and join in some friendly, outdoor competitive activities. Week 4 campers will meet at Oak Grove Park one of their camp days to fish, take part in archery, and for their grand competition! Field trip fees are included in the cost of camp.

Preschool Play Yard
Ages 4 – 5
Preschoolers will discover secret trails and hidden islands, find creek treasures, participate in hands-on science experiments, and create frame-worthy crafts at The Enchanted Forest! Other activities will include a magical scavenger hunt, silly obstacle courses and interactive story times! This program is held in partnership with the South Metro Optimist of Centerville Women’s Club.

Cooking Around the World
Ages 12 – 17
Join Katie Blauser from Eat Pretty Darling for an exciting teen summer camp cooking series! We will embark on a delicious journey around the globe! In each session, we’ll explore and create iconic dishes like vibrant Mexican tacos, handmade Italian pasta, fresh Asian sushi, and savory Mediterranean hummus with pita. Perfect for budding chefs eager to expand their culinary skills and taste the world from the comfort of the kitchen! Please note: all major food allergens could be present in this camp.

Junior ACtivity Squad Camp Week 4
Ages 5 – 7
Space week is back! We will bring in some junior STEM and engineering design challenges, explore the science of the universe, and put some creative thinking to the test! All aboard, T-minus 10, 9, 8 … Kristin Bailey of the Purple Paintbrush, LLC will stop by for a special art project! Please dress in old clothing, and we will provide aprons for especially messy crafts.
